Got my free Secret Clinical Yeah!

So now I have, or at least Big J has, a razor that uses a battery, what that means I have no idea, lol :)

All in all, I had a great holiday saved alot and spent very little. I have a yummy fried turkey, thanks to Iron man. I Also received a $5.00 certificate from Kroger for the comment I left at the store that gave me great service, which let's face it I could use right about now. Then the guy who sometimes helps me at RiteAid, told me he enjoys it when I shop with them and that I make it so easy for him to do his job, how awesome is that!
My shopping trip this weekend gave me free Gillette body wash, free Olay lotion, free Gillette deodorant, free Olay 7 signs of aging body wash, and my 8th free secret Clinical. And more free play money :)

This was all stuff I got after the black Friday deals, saving money is so much fun especially when you get those surprises, like a kind word or a $5.00 off coupon :)

Have a lot to be grateful for this holiday season, an awesome family, great neighbors, the cold that keeps the flies away, and time to do what needed to be done. Saving money is just the bonus.

P.S. Sorry don't have my glasses on, sorry for any typo's

:)

Thank you for a fun Thanksgiving :)

Dinner was yummy (as always)!
The company was fun (as always)!
Wish I could have stayed longer (as always)!

LOVE YOU ALL!!

3 Inserts this weekend

There will be double Red Plum in this Sunday's paper... can you say MULTIPLES WooHoo

Thursday, November 11, 2010

GRRRR!!!

Ok, so I do not normally have an issue with not having my coupons in my paper.....

However.. this week I was missing my redplums from 2 of my 4 papers, sooooooooo I called the store and was informed I need to contact the newspaper, so checking my annoyance, I called the AJC customer service line, and was referred to another number, which I had to leave a message on. Still not happy. grrr...
However, surprise, surprise I got a call back, I called the number the lady left spoke with her and she said she would mail the missing ones to me. yea :)
Now I have not received them yet but we will see.
But then I went to publix and they still had two double papers left, so I grabbed them, I checked them in the store and saw that they still had the coupons in the one I check, I assumed (which made an A$$ out of me and, well just me) and when I got home same thing!!
I called again and I am now waiting for a call back..... grrr.
Well as Scarlet says, tomorrow is another day, I still have faith.

I am tired....

What a week!

5 free Clinical secrets later and this sister is exhausted. lol
I am sure the deals will keep rolling in, and at this point I can gladly say I can pick which one's I will actively run around for.

I do know that baking products will be the hot items coming up so I will keep my eyes out for those pantry staples, along with seasonal favorites like cranberrys and chestnuts.

This week I will be cleaning the big mess I made from last weeks madness and getting my receipts in order.

Oh and this is the site for the coupons on finish and jet dry.

Finally!!!

Hey Sistas,

I can finally share my thoughts and deals with you. It took some coaching from you both, and here I am!

Okay, so todayI spent the better part of the morning combing Southern Savers, Coupon Mom and cutting coupons. I have to say it was so worth it. I went to Publix and spent $25.46 (incl. tax) and saved $86.89!! Now that was worth me losing a couple of hours of pay. :-}

I'm off to Krogers in the morning; I'll let you know how I score!

Venus Razors and Secret Clinical deoderant update...

I was able to return the cartridges to CVS and got back $9.66, which was the total cash I spent on the entire transaction, so in essence I got everything there for free. Wahoo!

I then went to Target and got a Venus Spa Breeze razor ($7.99), and a 4 pack cartridge ($12.99). This gave me a free $5.00 Target gift card for future use.

I used the 2 coupons for the FREE Secret Clinical strength (2 @ $7.59 each = $15.18)
Then the 2 coupons for $5.00 off Olay body wash, I just got the large one's since they did not have any special on the anti aging one's. (2 @ $5.04 each = $10.08)
Then coupon for the Free Old Spice body spray (1 @ $3.99)and yes they had the Denali, yeah!

My total was $23.23, and I use my 2 $5.00 Target gift cards from a previous purchase, which left me with $13.23 to pay in cash, and another $5.00 target gift card for future use.

So all together I got a razor with cartridge refills and a 4 pack of cartridges, three body washes, three deodorants, two tooth brushes, a bag of candy, a bottle of dish washing liquid, and a body spray for $13.23. For which I got back $7.00 in CVS play money and $5.00 in Target play money for future use.

Sooooo if I wanted to stretch my imagination my real total would be $1.23.

:)

P.S.
Now here is the funny thing I would NEVER play full price for these items, but hey who couldn't have FREE!

:)

Costcos has a sample program

This link is for nicorette gum 20 free pcs at costcos

I didn't know they did samples you have to have a membership, but I'll try and check daily to see if it changes!

Babs Is Here

Yeah!!!!

Even better deal for Venus Razors and Secret Clinical deoderant

Ok, Target has the Venus Breeze razors for $7.99 each, but when you buy 2 you get a free $5.00 Target gift card. However, if you buy all these on one ticket you get more than just the gift card.

Then you use the P&G 10/31 Buy one Venus cartridge and get a free Secret Clinical (up to $9.00) you use two coupons and you get two free.

Then you use P&G 10/31 coupon on the next page, Buy one Secret deodorant and get $5.00 off one Olay bar, body wash, in shower body lotion (had no idea they had such things..) or hand and body lotion. use two coupons to get $10.00 off. I got the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti Aging Body Wash - Exfoliate & Replenish, so I can fight ALL 7 signs of my aging.

Then you use P&G 10/31 a few pages over on the bottom left, Buy 2 Secret deodorants and get one free Old Spice body spray. Try the Denali scent if they have any, that one smells pretty good and is not too over powering.

So the total out of pocket is $16.00 for the razors there is a dollar amount limit to the free coupons as I listed above, (but when I did it at CVS they gave me the full value of $9.39 on the deodorant) you get back $5.00 in the gift card. This deal works best for me at Target because I have 2 $5.00 gift cards already, but you can also do as I did and buy them at CVS because you get back $4.00 in rewards on the Olay, and I got an extra $3.00 off when you spend $15.00 from the machine. I am returning the cartridge I purchased at CVS today, I will fill you in on how that goes.

happy shopping!!

:)

Publix and Kroger

Another great day for savings :)

Spent $9.24 at Publix, but saved $72.60
Spent $12.76 at Kroger's, but saved $51.62

So I spent $22.00 on $146.22 worth of grocery's, I even had an audience at Publix, the ladies behind us were all excited and waited with anticipation to see the end total, wanting to know if I did the seminars. I suggested they try southernsavers.

And as always, the joy on Big J's face when the bill drops dramatically is worth an extra bonus I can not quantify. Either way it was a fun evening.

Angel Trumpet Pretty Peach

This is the Angel trumpet plant I have been talking about all summer, also known as the Brugmancia . The bloom is about eight inches long, not including the part it comes out of.

It smells as pretty as it looks.

This was the first day it started to open.

From another angle so pretty.

This is how it looks in full bloom

Hope you like it, no coupon needed!

Total out of pocket $16.98 with just coupons.

  • You get back $5.00 Up rewards from Excedrin, (1) $1.00 +Up rewards from Ziploc for a total of $6.00 back on next purchase.
  • I used the $5.00 of $20 purchase from the email for this one, and 2 $1.00 any non prescription items from Ad perks I handed these over before all my coupons, So my actual cash handed over was $7.98 before tax, I did use $5.00 in +up rewards from a previous purchase.

So, I spent $2.94 and got back a total of $6.00… now this is not the end of the story. I was supposed to get and additional $4.00 +Up rewards for the Maybelline items from an email offer from Rite aid, however it did not print.

I spoke with the manager who was very nice and she gave this to me for FREE!!

Thank you Debbie!

So in total it was $38.86 but by dividing it up into three transactions I was able to use the extra $5.00 (2) and $4.00 coupons, bringing it down to $24.86 and got back $23.00 in +up rewards, plus $7.98 in single check rebates.

Not a bad day over all, hope it wasn't too long lol :)

A Man Named Pearl

Hey All!

I know this is off subject a bit, and yet not really. A few months ago I ordered this movie through Netflix. I thought it was a truly great movie and very inspiring, it has such a positive message I thought it would be a great family night movie. And to make it even better it is now available for instant watch! Yippe!

So I guess in the light of saving money by staying home, popping your own popcorn and watching a really good movie, then the post does fit :)

Either way with the instant watch feature you can feel comfortable to watch it and if it is not to your liking try another. I hope do you.

Who Knew?

I don't know about you, but I like the idea of having one item that has several uses. It makes getting a good deal on it even better. Now I will admit I was not a big fan of the Glad Press'n Seal product, for some reason whenever I used it, it just stuck to itself, and I would end up just wad it up tossing it and get the regular stuff. But who knew you could do so many things with it.

Hmmm... I may just have to give it another try :)

Check it out for yourself, and yes of course Martha had a hand in it all.
